My Role
Quality Assurance Tester
While testing the content for Destiny 2: The Witch Queen I employed ad-hoc, regression, and functional testing. Ad-hoc testing when I was roaming around Savathun's Thrown world interacting with the activities, public events, and quests. Regression testing when I was verifying if a fixed bug had properly been fixed and functional testing when testing a new feature implemented into one of the campaign missions or quest missions.
Employed various QA methodologies
Whenever I encountered a bug in The Witch Queen DLC, I wrote detailed bug reports that included detailed steps on how to reproduce the bug and even included specific coordinates if necessary which facilitated quick resolution. When additional information was needed, I collaborated closely with the developer addressing the issue, assisting by providing further details and brainstorming potential solutions.
Authored detailed bug reports
During the week, I took part in several playtest sessions and occasionally helped facilitate them, focusing on specific aspects of the DLC alongside the lead designers. During these playtests, we provided feedback on the developed content and raised questions to clarify our understanding of the expected functionalities for various elements. These sessions enabled us to identify bugs more efficiently because we were familiar with the expected behavior of the content.
